Northern Lights vs Flytraps
After a grueling regular season and playoffs delayed by rainouts, the CMBL Spring Season is finally ready to crown its champion. To little surprise, this season’s best two teams, the Northern Lights and Flytraps, have made it back to the Finals in a rematch of last season’s Championship. The Northern Lights are looking to repeat as CMBL Champions while the Flytraps are looking to finally break through for their first CMBL Championship. In the regular season, the Flytraps took both games of the season series; however, in the playoffs, the Lights knocked off the higher seeded ‘Traps rather-handedly 21-9.
Since the Flytraps are coming from the loser’s bracket, they must beat the Lights twice to win the Championship. The Northern Lights only have to win once to earn the crown.
The CMBL Championship is set for Sunday, August 28th at Roland Grise Middle School. The first pitch is at 12 PM. If a second game is necessary, it will start soon after the first game has ended.
